The first podcast in the series

Podcast transcript follows

Hey guys, Dan McVicker here. I’m with actionexperiments.com. This is the Action Experiments podcast. I just wanted to give a quick intro to the podcast so you know what you’re getting into. Basically, the concept this year is that I’m trying to improve my wellness in four different areas: mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional. And in order to do that, I am going to be engaging in a number of different experiments: trying different things and seeing how I do with it. So that’s what this podcast is nominally about. Hopefully what happens is, I find some useful ideas, distinctions, concepts that you can use in your own life, and I find some things that I can use going forward.

The first few episodes of the podcast are really going to be about my evening routine, which is… I think an underappreciated yet critical concept for people to explore. If you have a regular bedtime, you get enough sleep, you have all your stuff ready to go in the morning, it’s going to make a big difference to your life. So, really what these first few episodes are about is exploring how I’ve set up my evening routine and how you can set up┬ásomething similar.

The “action” part of this experiment right now is me setting up a baseline–best practices for myself, what I’ve established works well for me in the past. So, I want to start with things I know are working and go from there.

Anyway, a quick intro to the podcast in case you’re wondering what you’re getting into. This has been Dan McVicker, I’m with actionexperiments.com and this is the Action Experiments podcast. Thanks for listening. {TK-Good job on your first podcast! If you’re going to burp, re-record it that section. it’s a bit much with headphones on. Can’t wait to hear more, you have a great voice.}
